After 2 weeks of driving through The Rocky Mountains and exploring the natural wonders of the National Parks, we finally saw the urban skyline of Vancouver. We had planned 5 nights at the same place. Wow, that sounds like a bit of a rest in such an intensive trip. But does it? Well, resting is not something that we do while traveling – there is too much interesting to see and do. How can we possibly miss it?
After an 8 hour night flight, we landed in Toronto when the sun was already going down. A short, due to the jet lag, night and we hit the road again. To Ottawa. It was 7am. Yes, early, but the little one woke up at 4am, and so did we. Therefore, we set off when it was already time for her first nap. And napping is the best thing to do in a car for a baby.
Why did we do such a crazy thing and didn’t stay in Toronto for a few days to adjust to the time and have some rest after the long flight? Well, we had our reason.
If you haven’t lived in Poland nor learned its geography, I bet the answer for the most people will be no. Once, in Bydgoszcz airport, I had a chance to talk to a German lady, and I asked her how they name this city in German. Her reply was, she didn’t know as she had never heard of it in Germany. It’s not a very touristy city and is quite underrated by the locals, but every year it’s getting better and more interesting as a tourist destination and the amount of tourists increases.
